Hi, I’m Danielle, a registered Dietitian specialising in childhood nutrition and Mum to 3 amazing and energetic young boys.
My passion for working with families and children started during my first job as a Dietitian. I quickly discovered that Paediatrics was where my heart was at and ever since then I have loved helping parents learn more about what their child needs to optimise their nutritional intake and grow well.
Since qualifying as a Dietitian, I have worked at two of the UK’s leading Children’s Hospitals, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and Evelina London Children’s Hospital (Guy’s and St Thomas’s), as well as other NHS hospitals, Community Trusts, the private sector and as a Dietitian for the British Forces.
I have gained extensive knowledge in infant and childhood nutrition by working across many different settings, as well as working in South Africa, Germany and the UK.
In 2013, I was one of the first Dietitians in the UK to obtain an MSc in Paediatric Dietetics and am the co-author of a chapter in ‘Clinical Paediatric Dietetics’, the leading nutritional textbook for Paediatric Dietitians in the UK.
Over the last 18 years of being a Dietitian I have presented talks and research findings at conferences both in the UK and internationally. I’ve been involved in various published research projects, taught on study days and MSc level courses and written for professional publications.
My specialist interests are in food allergies and intolerances, gastrointestinal problems, fussy eating, weaning, general healthy eating, neuro-disabilities and surgical conditions, however I may be able to help children with other nutritional needs or conditions as requested.
I am a full member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), Paediatric and Allergy sub groups of the BDA and am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
In 2016 after becoming a mum and desiring more flexibility, I launched The Children’s Nutrition Practice. I have since loved working with parents one on one, helping them optimise their child’s nutritional intake and working within the private/business sector.
If you are looking for specialist nutritional advice for your child, you are in the right place.
I look forward to working with you.
